About Us

The Japan Remote Image Diagnosis Center (JRIDC) is an organization that provides international remote image diagnostic services by Japanese radiologists.
It aims to offer top-notch image diagnosis from Japan targeting medical facilities where CT and MRI scans are conducted but lack expert diagnostic services.
We also propose treatment by specialized medical institutions in Japan as needed for lesions found through our remote image diagnosis.

Ningen Dock: A Comprehensive Health Checkup System in Japan
• Ningen Dock detects diseases in asymptomatic individuals through various tests.
• Most examinees do not have any diseases, but it is extremely important not to overlook those who do. Even if you can correctly diagnose 99% as having “no abnormalities,” failing to identify the remaining 1% is unacceptable.
Disease Detection by Japanese Radiologists
• We, Japanese radiologists, undergo rigorous training in lesion detection to become specialists. Even after obtaining board certification, we continue to refine our skills by interpreting 30 to 100 CT/MRI cases per day, per person.
• Our disease detection capabilities are world-class. In fact, we have detected a considerable number of tumors that were missed in overseas examinations.
The Diagnostic Accuracy After Disease Detection
Following disease detection, diagnostic accuracy also depends on the radiologist’s ability. Even if a disease is detected, an inaccurate diagnosis can lead to incorrect clinical decisions. The following are examples:
• Mistaking a benign lung nodule for cancer can lead to unnecessary lung resection.
• Mistaking a small pancreatic cancer for a benign local atrophy can lead to missed treatment opportunities as the cancer rapidly grows.
• Failure to diagnose cancer vascular invasion in advance can lead to the risk of fatal bleeding during surgery.
• Mistaking a pathological fracture for a traumatic fracture can allow tumor growth, leading to spinal cord injury.
• Numerous lesions spanning the lungs, abdomen, brain, etc., may represent a single disease (such as lymphoma, sarcoidosis, or collagen disease). Without accurately diagnosing it, the correct treatment cannot be chosen.
On-the-Job Training and Education
We also contribute to improving local radiologists’ abilities by providing feedback on requested cases and/or conducting seminars on relevant topics.
Training system for Japanese radiologists

The image diagnostic ability of Japanese radiologists is the best in the world.
Our Remote Image Diagnosis Also Ensures Diagnostic Accuracy
We, Japanese radiologists, study imaging findings of various diseases every day and have achieved outstanding results in international diagnostic competitions.
